Training schedule and excessive sleepy rambling.

Monday - Hip Hop @ Joel Hall 8:15-9:45.
Tuesday - Bellydance I - 7:30-8:30, Improv Rehearsal 8:30-9:30
Wednesday - gym 5:30-6:30, RMH Rehearsal 7-9:30
Thursday - Solo Technique Class (teach) 8:30-9:30
Friday - gym 5:30-6:30
Saturday - BD Drills 12-1, Yoga 4-5:30
Sunday - Ballet @ Joel Hall 12-1, gym in afternoon, BD drills with friends at house.

Somewhere in there I have to figure out how to work in my 20 min. pilates dvd and crunchless abs. I guess I could wake up early and do it but lately it seems more and more difficult to wake up in my cold bedroom. My Thursday class isn't really as intense for me as it is for my dancers, so I'm considering that my chill day. Also, to cut down on having to do cardio at Bally's, I'm going to walk on the treadmill during my lunch break and just eat at my desk.  I hate Bally's, so I'm only going for the free-weights and leg machines.

Holy shit this will be intense. I'm going to try to post every week with my progress to keep myself from quitting/going insane. Wish me luck.

I really want to be in good shape for the April conference because I'm teaching combinations and floorwork. I can't have muscle spasms and cramps while I'm trying to teach. That just won't do. The only thing I'll really have work on is eating enough.  I have a hard time remembering to eat when I'm busy.  I guess I will just have to keep snacks in my purse.

List Maker

Tuesday: Design postcards for class schedule, improv rehearsal, work on set for solo.
Wednesday: Work on set for solo, RMH rehearsal, A's birthday dinner.
Thursday: Work on set for solo, final touches on costume, perform @ Blue Star Lounge.
Friday: Dance class, set music for drills.
Saturday: Teach drills, yoga, perform with RMH @ River East Arts Center.
Sunday: Clean house, postcards, dance class.
Monday: Hip-hop, work on traditional solo set for NYE.
Tuesday: Improv rehearsal, send postcard design to printer.
Wednesday: RMH Rehearsal

AND THEN, FREEDOM!!! (For a week.)

I've been booking more solo gigs, which is nice. I intend to have one solo and one duet gig every month along with the usual RMH stuff. My social life is lacking and I'm tired all the time, but that's what it takes to generate business, I suppose. I'm teaching bellydance twice a week and averaging 2 gigs a week on top of my full-time job and the classes I take for recreation/training.

I'm excited to get to sleep a bit next week.  It's kind of pathetic.

Why am I even here?

There's no point to being at work today. The phone isn't ringing, I finished everything I needed to do yesterday, and I stayed up pretty late fixing some of my costuming.

Shit.

Bored.

Keep me occupied, people.

Half-day tomfuckery.

Here we go...

Onward and upward.  This will be disjointed.  I haven't written a real journal entry in a hot tranny minute.

I have three gigs this weekend and a music video shoot on Tuesday.  I'm also taking over the Saturday classes and adding a new class in January.  Things are going really well with bellydancing, but I really need to find more paying gigs.  I usually have a couple each month, but we're also working a lot with people who are just trying to get the ball rolling for more vaudeville-esque shows.  I'm not sure why, but Chicago is always two years behind the curve.  Everything on the West coast right now is all about vaudeville, circus, and bellydance shows, but Chicago venue owners don't seem to see much profit in sponsoring a show like that.  I really want to try to offer RMH's services to clubs that usually hire go-go dancers.  It's kind of a tedious way to make money, but we need more paying work.

My birthday is coming up and I could not be less enthused.  I have never really been big on birthdays.  Maybe it's because my birthday falls so close to Thanksgiving so I never really had people available to come and celebrate with me when I was a kid.  I think the one birthday party I had where people weren't out of town or busy with family stuff was held in October.  I have had one birthday celebration since and that was at least 3 years ago.  HALP!  I need ideas.  I actually want to have fun for my birthday this year!  I don't want gifts, don't care about dinners, I just want to have fun.

I need to get back on the ball of losing weight.  I've been meaning to get back into classical dance, and that would really help.  If I went that route, I'd go to dance classes/rehearsals six days a week and yoga twice a week.  That would definitely help me build more muscle and get a good workout, but I also want to get on some sort of diet.  I should probably just make one meal a week and stop drinking so many lattes, but doooood.  Lattes are amazing.

Whatever.  I'm done here.  It's cold outside.  Shit.
